A Winter Wonderland!

 

The 2013 Winter Camping Rendezvous is Friday, February 8th through Sunday, the 10th!

This will be the fourth year at the Sawmill Lake Campground in Washburn County, Wisconsin.
 

 

You may camp in the campground or on any of the numerous nearby lakes in the area.  The campground has pit toilets and a hand-pump well.  Bring a bowl of chili for the Saturday night “chili dump” and any other treats to pass around..

If you camp in the campground, bring a shovel and enough wood for the first night’s fire in the woodstove.  If you choose to camp on any of the lakes a short pull from the campground, there is plenty of standing deadwood available.  

Brook trout are close to the campground.  Bass and blugills live in all of the lakes.

Bring your skis and snowshoes to explore all of the lakes.  Lakes are connected with signed portages.

$10.00/person – All proceeds to Washburn County Forestry and the Town of Birchwood (for plowing access to the campround).
